José Saramago, Litblogger

Can a blog rise to the level of literature?
I don’t mean this blog, of course. Here at Paper Cuts, we’re more like the cheerleaders and rubberneckers of the book world, which is to say we’re readers. We applaud literature; we don’t make it. But if a brilliant and prominent novelist — a Nobel laureate, say — were to record his thoughts and observations in a blog, might it amount to literature?
